Watching some of the middle school boys and girls graduation brought back memories of my graduation. I’ve invested in several of these precious young men and women through Common Ground Montgomery. They were so excited about this huge accomplishment. Did you know that many of our children in our community don’t finish school? There are many reasons why…and it’s not always a lack of desire from the children. When you’re in an environment where you’re barely making ends meet, receiving inferior education, and being exposed to negative influences, finishing school becomes more challenging. Some are able to withstand the odds…but many get left behind.
Now you can imagine the sense of pride many of them feel when they receive there diplomas. I pray they continue to work hard to receive the other diplomas ahead:-).
